Havasupai! (9/18-19/09)

The Jone's asked if we wanted to go with them and some other friends to Havasupai a few months ago. Brian and I jumped at the opportunity to go. It was so beautiful and so much fun, we would do it again anytime!
At the trail head about to begin the hike in to the falls. We went on this trip with a group of friends (Tyler and Kristen, Kristen's dad, Lindsey and Maren and Kevin), but spent most of our time with good friends Maren and Kevin Hansen. We drove with them, hiked with them, and then hiked with them and drove with them some more! We had so much fun!!

Along the way
We finally made it to camp. That is Havasu Falls in the background.

Maren and Kevin at Moony Falls!

The sign says it all. To get to Moony Falls you have to pass through a little cave in the mountain and then...

This is the side of the mountain you have to climb down to get to the bottom of Moony Falls. You have to just hold on to chains as you find footing to make it down. It's high and tricky, but is was fun to do! Look hard and you can see someone right in the middle of the picture, coming down the hill.

The decent

It was really hard to get close to the waterfall! The spray and the wind were wicked! I had a hard time catching my breath if I tried to walk strait to the waterfall! Brian dragged me along as we headed as close as we could safely get.

Me, up close and personal with Moony Falls.
Oh no...Brian be careful! Not really, it's just Brian being Brian!
We packed so much into one day, that next time we would like to spend more time enjoying the beauty!
