Last Week in Pictures

I found Kaid singing to Brielle one morning after they had finished their breakfast. I am SO grateful for how much they love each other! Kaid loves Brielle so much and Brielle just adores Kaid!

We got a new wireless keyboard and mouse, and of course the kids favorite part was the box. This box entertained Brielle for HOURS this week.

And of course when Kaid saw the box he was not going to be left out! Aren't they cute!

Brielle is my face maker! She is always making some sort of face...she keeps us laughing all the time! This particular face is by far her favorite!

"Look Mom! Lightning McQueen!"

Last night as we were coming home from Grammy and Hot Rod's house, (as we do every night, thanks mom and dad for always letting us come and swim!) we saw a lot of lightning! I was telling Kaid to look out the windows and watch for the flash of light, and that the light was called lightning. This is how the conversation went after that...

"Kaid look out my side, there is a lot of lightning out there."
"Mom!! Did you see the lightning McQueen outside? It was a big one!"
"Kaid it's just called lightning, not lightning McQueen."
A few minutes pass as he digests the new information that I have given him, and as he watches more lightning.
"Mom! That was a big lightning McQueen! It's so cool mom!"
In defeat, but with a huge smile on my face because I have such a cute little boy I reply,
"Yeah it was a big one! It is cool!"

I love the way the minds of my little ones work!

A Big Week

This last week was a big one for Brielle. She learned to clap, wave and shake her head no. She waves when you say hello or goodbye. Much to her Hot Rod's delight, she will say no when you ask her questions like, "Do you love Grammy more than Hot Rod?" She has been standing on her own for a few weeks, but now she can take one or two steps before she falls. She also discovered that she can growl, which is very fun to listen to! Her and her daddy will growl back and forth to each other for as long as Brielle will participate (sometimes 5 minutes at a time!). My little girl is getting so big!! And all in one week!

A Very Happy Fourth!

I love any excuse to get together with family and friends! Especially a holiday that requires swimming and a BBQ! Over the weekend Sean and Kandace (Brian's brother and his girlfriend) came to visit, so we spent the weekend celebrating Kandace's birthday (happy birthday Kandace!) and the fourth. We had a lot of fun...and needed a day to catch up after a weekend filled with fun activities!

A "Bounce-tastic" Time!!

I am constantly looking for something to entertain the kids (and Brian!) during the hot months of summer! Last week we went to family bounce night at Bounce U. It was a really fun! A good time was had by all! If you live around a Bounce U, or anything like it, I highly recommend it!

Kaid loved this silly over sized boxing helmet thing! I kept trying to get him to take it off because it was gross and sweaty from other people, but every time I turned around he had it on again! You can't reason with a 3 year old boy about hygiene!

Brielle loves these little cars on the floor. Anything that kept her away from the bounce houses. She was not a fan of those!

Growing Every Day!

Brielle went to her 9 month check-up on Monday! Can you believe it? Nine months already! She weighs 14 pounds, putting her in the 3% for weight (shrimpy I know:) ) and she is 28.25 inches tall (the 75%). What a big girl she is getting to be! And she really thinks that she is big too. She loves to be in the middle of everything all the time. She is SO busy all the time that while she is awake she never stops moving and going. She will wiggle you to death if she wants to get down to get something. She crawls swiftly and loves to stand up and walk along things. Just in the last week she started standing on her own. Watch out...it won't be long now until she walks! Imagine all the trouble she will get into when she can walk...wait, no, I don't want to imagine that! She loves to laugh and play, and her sweet spirit brings a welcomed depth to our family. She gets stronger and cuter everyday. We love you Brielle!!!
